Physiotherapists in general practice are experts in musculoskeletal conditions. They are able to assess, diagnose and treat a range of complex muscle and joint conditions preventing the need for referrals to hospital. They can arrange swift access to further treatment, investigations and specialists when needed.

Support and Supervision

ARRS Supervision Standards

The Primary Care Training Hub Business Team have worked with Gateshead Place, clinicians within the ARRS roles, and other key stakeholders to establish a minimum standard of Clinical Supervision. These guidelines outline how much supervision each ARRS role should receive, and which roles would be best suited to supervise other roles. These are guidelines only, and individuals should only supervise other roles if they feel comfortable and competent to do so. View here.
