Paramedic

Paramedics work in a variety of roles in General Practice. Their background in pre-hospital care means they are used to working with people with a variety of health conditions from coughs and minor injuries to more serious conditions such as asthma and heart attacks. They work alongside GPs and help manage routine or urgent appointments, telephone triage, and home visits.

Support and Supervision

ARRS Supervision Standards

The Primary Care Training Hub Business Team have worked with Gateshead Place, clinicians within the ARRS roles, and other key stakeholders to establish a minimum standard of Clinical Supervision. These guidelines outline how much supervision each ARRS role should receive, and which roles would be best suited to supervise other roles. These are guidelines only, and individuals should only supervise other roles if they feel comfortable and competent to do so. View here.
